1. Applicability

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the iOS application "ShohoNote" ("App") and any related services we provide (collectively, "Service"). By using the Service, you agree to these Terms.

  1. Users may use the Service by registering an Account in the manner we designate.
  2. As a rule, each individual may register only one Account.
  3. Users are solely responsible for protecting their registration information (email and password) and must not disclose, lend, or share it with any third party.
  4. We may suspend or delete an Account without prior notice if we detect unauthorized use or suspected unauthorized use.

4. Service Functionality

The Service is a utility application providing the following:

  1. Browsing of publicly available information about over-the-counter and prescription medications (drug master).
  2. Saving favorite medications.
  3. Recording and visualizing the medication history of yourself and registered family members.
  4. Community features for sharing user reviews and experiences.
  5. PDF export of medication history (Premium feature).
  6. Family-member registration (caps differ between Free and Premium plans).
  7. Other features we announce on the Service.

5. Medical Disclaimer

  1. The Service is not a substitute for diagnosis, prescription, or medication guidance by a healthcare professional. Drug information shown in the Service is reference material compiled from publicly disclosed medication labeling information including data from Japan's Pharmaceuticals and Medical Devices Agency (PMDA), and does not constitute medical advice for any specific condition or individual.
  2. Consult a licensed physician, pharmacist, or other qualified healthcare professional regarding any decision about your own or your family's medication or health.
  3. We make commercially reasonable efforts to maintain the accuracy and completeness of information shown in the Service, but we make no warranties. We assume no liability for decisions or actions taken in reliance on information shown in the Service.

6. Premium Plan

6.1 Plans and pricing

6.2 Auto-renewal

  1. The Premium Plan is an auto-renewing subscription. Payment will be charged to your Apple ID account at confirmation of purchase.
  2. Auto-renewal continues unless turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
  3. Your account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period.
  4. Subscriptions may be managed and auto-renewal may be cancelled at any time from your Apple ID account settings: https://apps.apple.com/account/subscriptions

6.3 Refunds

Premium fees are charged by Apple, so refunds follow Apple's policies. Please contact Apple Support at https://reportaproblem.apple.com.

6.4 Plan changes

We may change the features or pricing of the Premium Plan. Material changes will be announced in-app or by email in advance.

7. Prohibited Conduct

You must not do any of the following while using the Service:

  1. Violate any law or public policy.
  2. Engage in or threaten criminal activity.
  3. Defame, harass, discriminate against, or otherwise harm other users in community features.
  4. As a non-healthcare-professional, post content offering medical advice, diagnosis, or prescription guidance that could mislead others.
  5. Post false drug information, false experience reports, or other misinformation.
  6. Collect or publish other users' or third parties' personal information without consent.
  7. Reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble the Service.
  8. Access the Service in unauthorized ways, scrape it, or send excessive requests.
  9. Transfer, lend, or share your Account with a third party.
  10. Use multiple Accounts to evade caps on review posts, family-member registration, or other Service limits.
  11. Engage in any other conduct we deem inappropriate.

8. Content Ownership and License

  1. Copyright and other intellectual property rights in Content posted by Users remain with the posting User.
  2. By posting Content, you grant us a worldwide, royalty-free, non-exclusive license to reproduce, modify, publicly transmit, and share the Content for the purpose of providing, improving, and promoting the Service.
  3. You represent and warrant that the Content you post does not infringe any third party's rights.

9. Content Moderation

  1. We may, without prior notice, remove, hide, or take other measures regarding Content we judge to violate Section 7 or pose a risk of doing so.
  2. Users may report Content via the in-app "Report" feature. Specifically, long-press a community review and tap "Report this review" from the menu that appears. We will investigate reports within a reasonable scope after receipt.
  3. Users may use the in-app "Block" feature to hide content from specific users. Specifically, long-press a community review and tap "Block this user" from the menu that appears. Blocks are stored on this device, and reviews posted by the blocked user are hidden from then on. Blocks can be removed from Settings → Blocked users (wired in Phase 218 / 2026-06-16).
  4. Appeals of Content removal may be made to tmedilab.support@gmail.com.

10. Service Changes and Suspension

We may change, add to, or remove Service features without prior notice. We may also suspend the Service in whole or in part for maintenance, failure response, or other reasonable causes.

11. Disclaimer of Warranties

  1. The Service is provided "as is". We make no warranty of completeness, accuracy, or fitness for a particular purpose.
  2. Drug information shown in the Service is compiled from publicly disclosed PMDA data and may not reflect the latest medical information.
  3. Except in cases of our willful misconduct or gross negligence, we are not liable for damages arising from use or inability to use the Service.
  4. Disputes between Users are resolved between those Users at their own responsibility; we bear no liability for such disputes.

12. Limitation of Liability

Even when we are found liable, our total liability is limited to the fees you paid us (Premium Plan fees) in the 12 months preceding the event giving rise to liability. For free-plan Users, the limit is ¥10,000. This limitation does not apply where prohibited by Japan's Consumer Contract Act or other applicable law.

13. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by the laws of Japan. The Tokyo District Court has exclusive jurisdiction as the court of first instance for disputes arising out of or related to the Service or these Terms.

14. Changes to These Terms

We may revise these Terms. Material changes will be announced via in-app notification or our website at least 30 days in advance. The revised Terms become effective on the date we specify. By continuing to use the Service after the effective date, you accept the revised Terms.
